Gaza: Algeria welcomes 45 Palestinian children and 6 Algerians injured in Israeli shelling

Algeria has received a new wave of Palestinian injuries as a result of Israeli attacks that have continued since October 7 on the Gaza Strip.

Forty-five Palestinian children and six injured Algerians were repatriated Thursday evening from Cairo Airport (Egypt) on two medically equipped planes of the Algerian Air Force for treatment in military hospitals and in Algerian army circles, Algerian authorities said in a press release.

According to the same source, this operation is part of the Algerian President Abdelmajid Teboun’s initiative to take responsibility for 450 injured Palestinian children to benefit from care after injuries and traumas as a result of the barbaric Zionist bombings that targeted Palestinian civilians. In addition, Algeria continues its unrelenting efforts to repatriate Algerian citizens stuck in the Gaza Strip, despite difficulties and obstacles, in cooperation with the Egyptian authorities, the Palestinian Red Crescent and the International Committee of the Red Cross. ICRC).

In addition, Algeria mobilized aircraft to deliver humanitarian aid to those trapped in the Gaza Strip to alleviate their suffering. The operation, according to Algerian authorities, “is ongoing and will be followed next week by the dispatch of additional humanitarian aid”.
