The students of Pontifical Catholic University (PUC) of São Paulo used social media to report the theft of six notebooks from the Monte Alegre campus, located in Perdizes, west of the city. The Civil Police reported that investigations into the case are underway.

According to the students the theft occurred earlier this month, on the 6th, around 4.30pm, in the room of the PUC Júnior Consultoria, a company made up of university students. In a repudiatory note, PUC-JR pointed out that the situation could have occurred anywhere else on campus due to the university’s lack of security and that there was no cooperation or transparency from the university.

In a note to Earththe Secretary of Public Security (SSP) informed that the 23rd police district is investigating the case and that they have already sent a request to the PUC to hand over the images from the security cameras.
The São Paulo Foundation (Fundasp), sponsor of the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo and the Assunção University Center, reported that, following the case, it is evaluating the possibility of installing turnstiles on the campus where the crime occurred.
