According to the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS), the dates have been made public so that students can prepare for the tests in a timely manner.
The dean of university studies at UFMS, Cristiano Costa Argemon Vieira, emphasizes that the consolidation of exams on the first two Sundays of December establishes a culture and allows young people who wish to study at university to prepare in advance.
Costa also warns that the contents of the 2025 UFMS entrance exam program will be published in April. The notices should be released on 2 September.
UFMS entrance exam dates 2025
The UFMS provides two entrance exams: the first is the traditional entrance exam, aimed at candidates who are in their third year of high school or who have already completed it. The second is the Selective Serial Assessment Program (PASSE), which is a serial entrance exam.
In the serial entrance exam, students take the tests at the end of each year of high school, but can only compete for places in the third and final year.

What are the UFMS entrance exams like?
The UFMS entrance exam is aimed at candidates who have already completed or will complete high school or equivalent by the scheduled date of enrollment at the University. The assessment consists of objective multiple-choice and free-response questions. There are vacancies reserved pursuant to law no. 12.711 of 29 August 2012 and, in addition to this method and the broad competition, it is also possible to participate as a trainer.
PASSE is intended for candidates who are still in high school and wish to access the UFMS serially, through assessments carried out at the end of each academic year, with specific content for that period. The selection process consists of three phases and the choice of course obviously only takes place in the last phase, when the written test is also administered.
