Fies 2024: See the states with the most vacancies

To the Fies 2024 registrations end at 11.59pm today (18th). Registration on the Single Portal for Access to Higher Education is free.

The Ministry of Education (MEC) offers more than 67 thousand vacancies for the first edition of Fies 2024. The Student Financing Fund (Fies) is a federal government program that guarantees student financing in higher education for those who have taken the National High School Exam (Enem) exams.

Among the states with the highest number of vacancies in Fies in this edition are: Sao Paulo (10,412 vacancies), Bahia (7,477 vacancies) and Minas Gerais (7,068 vacancies). The balance of vacancies by state was announced this Monday (18).

With the new changes announced by the MEC, Fies resumes its social role for the benefit of low-income students. OR Fies Social reserves 50% of vacancies for those who have a monthly family income, per capita, up to half the minimum wage and who are registered in the Single Registry of Social Programs of the Federal Government (CadÚnico).

How to register for Fies 2024?

Registration for Fies 2024 is free on the Single Portal for Access to Higher Education. Stakeholders must have the government’s account.br, the single login for the Confederation’s digital services. Find out what this account is and its relationship to Enem and the MEC selection processes here.

1) To register, the student must fill in the required fields with personal data, address and contact details.

2) Answer the questionnaire on race/ethnicity and other information to filter vacancies.

3) Subsequently it is necessary to communicate the names of the members of your family group, the CPF number of the people who make up the family group who are 14 years old or older. Also, indicate the degree of relationship, date of birth and income of each person.

4) Choose up to three college course options, offered in different institutions, cities, states and regions. Before Fies Social, the three course options indicated in the application had to be part of the same group of courses that belonged to similar fields.

Who can register for Fies 2024?

To register for Fies 2024 you must meet the requirements listed below:

• Have a monthly family income, per capita, up to three minimum wages;

• I picked up any edition of Enem from 2010 to 2023;

• Having obtained an overall average of at least 450 points in the five Enem tests;

• Not having completed the essay on Enem;

• Not having participated in Enem as a trainer;

News from Fies Social 2024

• The program reserves 50% of the seats for CadÚnico season ticket holders who have a monthly family income, per capita, up to 0.5 of the minimum wage. These participants will be entitled to 100% funding of educational costs.

• The candidates You can select up to three course options at the time of registration. There will no longer be any grouping of courses by area as in previous editions.
