The FPF defines the dates and times of the Paulista Championship finals

Palmeiras and Santos will decide the Paulistão in the duels of the next two Sundays. The entity also confirmed the locations of the decision

The Sao Paulo Football Federation has defined this Friday (29th), the dates, times and locations of the finals of the Campeonato Paulista between Santos and Palmeiras. The saudade classic will decide who will be the great champion of the competition. The matches will take place over the next two Sundays.

The first match will take place this Sunday (31st), at 6pm, in Vila Belmiro. The return match will take place the following week, on 7 April, again at 6pm, but at Allianz Parque.

Santos even attempted to bring his field command to the capital São Paulo. However, Peixe has seen Corinthians and São Paulo veto their stadiums, as both are carrying out lawn maintenance. Furthermore, Alvinegro Praiano did not want to bring the match to the Arena Barueri. Therefore, he decided to work in Vila Belmiro.

On the other hand, Palmeiras will again have the stadium where they have enjoyed themselves very well in recent years. After all, after two months of closure, Allianz Parque hosted a match again this Thursday (28), when Verdão beat Novorizontino 1-0, in the state semi-final.

After the quarter-finals and semi-finals in a single match, the decision will be between two matches. Despite having played the best season in Paulistão, Palmeiras will only have the advantage of playing the second leg at home. The tie in the overall score of the two duels means a decision on penalties.

Current two-time champions, Palmeiras are looking for their third consecutive title. Santos, back in the final after eight years, are looking for their first victory since 2016.
