“I’ll play even without a leg,” says Endrick after leaving Palmeiras injured

Endrick is a doubt for the first match of the Paulistão final, against Santos

Palmeiras fans were worried about Endrick, scorer of Verdão’s qualifying goal against Novorizontino, in the Paulistão semi-final. The number 9 suffers muscle pain in his thigh again and is replaced by Rony in the second half.

Endrick had taken a blow to the thigh during Brazil’s draw against Spain. The center forward will still be re-evaluated by the Verdão medical department, but he has made it clear that he wants to take the field in the first match of the Paulistão final, against Santos, in Vila Belmiro.

– I took the shot, I flew here, I arrived at Allianz and went for treatment, I spent the whole day treating myself, I woke up early to make ice. Like I said, whatever I can do for Palmeiras, it’s just a taste of trying to give back, even if it’s 1%, even without a leg that I will play, to help Palmeiras and my teammates – said l forward at TNT Sports.

After scoring Palmeiras’ qualification goal, Endrick hugged the club’s symbol and declared for Verdão. The 17-year-old boy has set himself the goal of saying goodbye to the competition by entering the selection of the best players of this edition of the state championship.

– For me it is exceptional to score a goal and help my team, it is essential that I do it, that’s all friend, last Paulistão, I want to do everything to score a goal, be in the championship team, help Palmeiras, so I have to play with all my might – commented Endrick.
