Anna Shcherbakova is already 20 years old

On March 28, 2024, Olympic figure skating champion Anna Shcherbakova celebrated her 20th birthday. The athlete celebrated the holiday after the operation – she is recovering from major interventions. And at the same time, he accepts congratulations and shares his emotions and memories of the past.

Anya admitted in an interview with Match TV that the ankle surgery went well, but recovery should generally go as planned. But winning the Olympics is what warms Anya up:

— If we talk about the emotions of victory, it seems that every morning you wake up and remember that you are an Olympic champion and you live this happy life. After the victory, I was confronted with the fact that these are usually opposite emotions. It’s such devastation and exhaustion! Only a year later I gave up this situation and was able, without violent reactions, to rejoice in this medal with calm and conscience, ”said Anya.

As the day progressed, many people in Russian figure skating congratulated Shcherbakova on her birthday. In the evening, she posted a joint photo from the shoot with Kamil Valiev on her personal social networks, writing: “Happy birthday.”

Rodnina spoke about her retirement

Irina Rodnina, three-time Olympic figure skating champion, spoke about the amount of her pension.

— I have the pension of a normal Russian. No sports. Sum? So far less than 30 thousand. I am a working retiree and there is no indexation for me. I haven’t yet asked myself if this amount is right for me. For now, I continue to work,” Irina Rodnina said in an interview with Sport24.

Tatiana Tarasova slams WADA chief for Friendship Games

In a video recently published by pranksters Vovan and Lexus, WADA President Witold Banka explained why his agency, like the IOC, is trying by all means to attack the Friendship Games. A strong sports tournament will take place in the fall from September 15 to 29, 2024 in Moscow and Yekaterinburg.

However, the IOC does not want to give blessings in any way and claims that this is a politicized tournament. And he says that in Russia, RUSADA is still under sanctions. WADA would not go to Russia because they simply did not like the current political situation. No, not because anything in RUSADA is not good. They just don’t want to. This is why Banka said the attacks on the Friendship Games were a purely political issue.

Tatiana Tarasova, in an interview with RIA Novosti, speaks, as always, with emotion and relevance:

— We’re organizing the Friendship Games, what’s so political about that? Sports competitions will be held here, everyone will run, jump, win and lose. Now everything that happens in Russia is a political issue? It’s so absurd.

Davis and Smolkin delighted in their 12th place at the World Championships

On personal social networks, figure skaters Diana Davis and Gleb Smolkin published a joint post, talking about the results of their ice dancing performance in Montreal for the Georgian team. They took 12th place with a score of 188.52 points. And we are happy with everything that happened.
