Bayern issues an ultimatum to Alphonso Davies

The left-back was purchased by Real Madrid and is under pressure from the German club to decide on a contract renewal

Bayern Munich gives Alphonso Davies an ultimatum. According to information released by the German press, the club has given the Canadian player, linked to Real Madrid, a week to decide on his future. The left-back’s contract is valid until 2025.

Recently Max Eberl, Bayern’s new sporting director, commented on the player’s contractual situation.

“Negotiations have been going on for a long time. But we are working on this topic. About Real Madrid? They haven’t contacted us. I can say that we have made a concrete offer to Alphonso. At some point he has to say yes or no,” he explained director.

The businessman reacts to the latest Bayern news

Nedal Huosehm, Alphonso Davies’ coach, gave an interview to the German newspaper ‘Bild’ and says he considers the ultimatum launched by Bayern to be “unfair”.

“It’s not right. At the end of the season everything would be clearer. We were close to an agreement a year ago. Then the management of the club changed and for seven months we didn’t hear anything. In that period I tried to “Contact the club. But it is unfair to give an ultimatum and have two weeks to decide because the club is under pressure. This is because it is a very important contract for Alphonso and we have to decide without knowing who the coach will be next season or what the team will be like. In other words, it’s unfair,” the officer said.
