Alexander Mostovoy: Promes trapped Spartak with his actions
Former Russian national team player Alexander Mostovoy spoke about the situation of Quincy Promes in Spartak. According to the former midfielder, Promes, 32, set the whole team up with his misbehavior.
“But there are so many players in the team who were bought for a lot of money, they are not Quincy’s apprentices – they also have to be able to do something,” Mostovoy said in a conversation with ” RB-Sport”
Mostovoy believes that even with the loss of Promes, Spartak should be in the top 3 of the RPL rankings at the end of the season if the coach distributes the available players correctly.
Promes was arrested in the United Arab Emirates in early March for fleeing the scene of an accident. In the Netherlands, he faces 7.5 years in prison for drug trafficking and assault against his brother. The extradition issue is being resolved.
After 20 rounds, Spartak occupies 6th place in the standings, gaining 31 points. 7 points in third place.
