HC Washington and Washington Wizards won’t move to another state until 2050
The NHL’s Washington Capitals and the NBA’s Washington Wizards will remain in the US capital until 2050.
On Thursday, March 28, club owner Ted Leonsis and Washington Mayor Muriel Bowser signed a contract for a $515 million arena renovation project.
According to the agreement, its complex will be expanded by 18,500 square meters. In addition, it is planned to create an entertainment district near Chinatown, as well as improve security and the transportation system, writes AP.
