After Fortaleza’s defeat, the press conference with coach Vojvoda was canceled due to logistical problems

Fortaleza’s press office informed that the post-match interview did not take place due to lack of space and the need for the delegation to board a charter flight.

In the early hours of this Thursday (28), after Fortaleza’s 3-2 defeat against Maranhão, Leão’s press office announced that the traditional post-match press conference with coach Juan Pablo Vojvoda will not be held, at due to the logistics of the stadium and the need for the delegation to board a charter flight to return to Fortaleza.

The communications department of the EC of Fortaleza informs of the cancellation of a press conference with the commander after the match against Maranhão:

“Without adequate space and the short period of time between leaving the stadium and the airport, coach Juan Pablo Vojvoda’s post-match press conference was not held.

The delegation returns with a charter flight to Fortaleza and has already left the stadium headed for the airport. The re-presentation schedule will be announced soon.”

Fortaleza has a tight schedule and is going through a difficult moment at the start of the season. Despite qualifying for the Copa do Nordeste, Tricolor do Pici achieved negative results from their opponents in Group B and were coming off a sequence of three defeats in the final stages of the championship’s group stage. In the last round, with the defeat of Maranhão, Fortaleza’s ranking was threatened, but Leão managed to advance to the quarterfinals.

In the Cearense Championship, the challenge of the Tricolor de Aço is greater. Fortaleza has reached its seventh consecutive final and dreams of winning an unprecedented sixth title in its history. The fight for the title will be defined in a Clásico-King, so it is important that Fortaleza works on the mistakes of the last matches and seeks effectiveness against Ceará.

The 2024 Cearense Championship decider will be divided into two matches, the first match is led by Fortaleza and will take place next Saturday (30), at 16:40 (Brasilia time), at Arena Castelão. After the first decision, Leão do Pici debuts in the Copa Sudamericana, on April 3, against Sportivo Trinidense, at 9pm (Brasilia time), away from home. The delegation will have to travel to Paraguay for the match at the Defensores del Chaco stadium.

Returning to Brazil, Fortaleza concludes the Cearense Championship three days after the Sula match, Saturday (06), at 16:40 (Brasilia time), at the Arena Castelão. After the end of the competition, the calendar continues with the matches of the Northeast and South America Cups and the start of the Brazilian Championship.
