Ferreirinha, Wellington Rato and Nikão have returned to work with the group as it prepares for the Tricolor’s debut in the Libertadores
San Paolo continues preparations for its debut in the Libertadores. The team will face Talleres, in Córdoba, on April 4, in the first round of Group B. And, to continue his activity, coach Thiago Carpini has obtained three reinforcements from the medical department. After all, Wellington Rato, Ferreirinha and Nikão returned to working normally with the group.
Nikão (bilateral Achilles tendonitis) and Wellington Rato (retus femoris injury in the left thigh) have been absent from Paulistão’s last three matches. Ferreirinha, however, scored the goal for San Paolo in the elimination against Novorizontino. However, at the time of the action, the attacker was injured and had to leave the match. The trio appeared in training images this week and appear to be 100% recovered.
Therefore, San Paolo only has Calleri, Moreira, Patryck and Luiz Gustavo in the medical department. The Argentine center forward, in fact, declared that he will be recovered for the team’s debut in the Libertadores. Furthermore, Arboleda, Bobadilla and Ferraresi have already finished their participation in Data-Fifa and are expected this Wednesday (27), at the Barra Funda CT, to return to their activities at the Tricolor.
Finally, Thiago Carpini’s coaching staff is still waiting for the return of goalkeeper Rafael and midfielder Pablo Maia. The two are part of the Brazilian team, which faced Spain this Tuesday (26), at the Santiago Bernabéu, and are expected to return to the club this week.
