Messi: I will retire as soon as football stops bringing me pleasure
Inter Miami striker Lionel Messi has spoken about when he plans to end his professional career.
According to the striker, he will leave the sport as soon as football ceases to bring him pleasure.
“I’m very self-critical of myself, I know when I feel good, when I feel bad, when I play well and when I play bad. When I feel that the time has come to take this step, I will do it without thinking about age,” added the Argentinian, whose words are quoted by Big Time AS.
Messi is 36 years old. He is an eight-time Ballon d’Or winner, world champion, Copa America winner, four-time Champions League winner, as well as numerous other trophies. Before joining MLS, the striker played for Barcelona for many years and spent several seasons with PSG.
