Dana White says Khabib’s short career kept him from becoming UFC’s greatest fighter
UFC chief Dana White has explained why he doesn’t consider Russian fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov the greatest athlete in the promotion’s history.
According to White, Nurmagomedov had every chance to become one, but he didn’t take advantage of it.
“He didn’t play long. First of all, it must be said that he had injuries. Everything was faster without them. But Khabib is one of the greatest fighters of all time,” White noted on Lex Fridman’s YouTube channel.
Throughout his career in mixed martial arts, Khabib Nurmagomedov fought 29 fights in which he suffered no defeats. He retired in 2020.
