Defensor was with two other athletes in a nightclub in the United States, the day before the friendly match between Ecuador and Italy
San Paolo defender Arboleda was spotted in a nightclub in New York, in the United States. Together with the defender were midfielder Paes, 16, and forward Plata, both of the Ecuador national team. The episode generated a lot of controversy for the player, who claimed to be absent from work.
However, the Federation of Ecuador itself rejects this version. The institution specifies that the period of free time took place on Friday, from 2pm to 8.30pm, therefore before going to the disco. The organization spoke in an official note stating that the images do not correspond to the values of the institution and that they will constitute a reason for analysis for future tenders, without specifying whether there will be sanctions.
The images were published by the website “La Data” and show the Italian defender showing off money and dancing next to a woman. Also according to the publication, the episode occurred the day before the friendly match between Ecuador and Italy. The Azzurri, in fact, won the match 2-0.

On his social networks, Arboleda joked about the episode, saying that, in his free time, “he will start reading the Bible”.
“From now on, on my days off, I will start reading the Bible, because I can’t even have fun,” Arboleda wrote.
Arboleda is expected to return to Sao Paulo this week
The defender, therefore, is expected in the next few days at CT Barra Funda, to return to his activity in Sao Paulo. The Tricolore is preparing for its debut in the Libertadores, against Talleres, on April 4th. Arboleda should be a starter for Thiago Carpini’s team.
