The two who came closest were Pedro, who had scored 12 with the Flamengo shirt, in 2022, and Gabigol, who had scored 11, the previous year, also with the Rossoneri rival’s shirt. The last one to score more times than the Tricolore number 9 in an edition was Luizão, who scored 15 for Corinthians, in the 2000 edition, in the last century.

Holder of the best attack of the competition in 2023, Tricolor das Laranjeiras arrives with high morale for the 2024 edition. After a start to the year marked by injuries and defeats in the classics, the fans cling to the historic campaign that led Fluminense to win the Libertadores title for the first time.

The Rio club, just 8 days after their debut in the Libertadores, rushed to recover their main players returning from injury. After being excluded from the final of the Campeonato Carioca, Flu had enough time to reorganize and improve both the defensive and offensive systems, which were not working well at the beginning of the year.
