Coach Jorge’s agent did not rule out that the Portuguese could lead Spartak

Under the leadership of Spartak head coach Guillermo Abascal, the chair began to shake again. In fact, it hasn’t been stable since winter. The Spaniard could be dismissed during the current season, although there is nothing left before the end of the championship. Among the candidates are all foreigners. Even Vladimir Ivich is already openly talking about his possible work in the red and white club.

KP Sport says if Guillermo Abascal really won’t finish this season.

Abascal may not be finished before the end of the season

— I wouldn’t be surprised at all if Spartak fired Abaskal and changed coaches. There is no glimmer of hope,” said former Spartak owner Andrei Chervichenko.

There are really no positives for the Spartak team. After 20 days, the red and whites occupy sixth place with 9 points behind leader Zenit.

And Abascal might actually not finish before the end of this season. According to the information Metarations, the Spartak leadership has already compiled a shortlist of candidates for the position of head coach. According to media reports, if Spartak’s results are not satisfactory in the spring of the season, the club can replace Abaskal with a new coach without waiting for the end of the current championship.

The Telegram channel “Mutko Against” claims that the red and white shortlist is mainly made up of foreign names. Most of them are Spaniards who have never worked in Russia. There is also a Serb, and it is not the former head coach of Krasnodar Vladimir Ivic. However, Ivic was also considered a candidate for the role of Abascal’s replacement.

Ivic could lead Spartak this summer

“Krasnodar” has not yet managed to play a single match this season without the leadership of Vladimir Ivic, and the Serb continues to be actively courted by “Spartak”.

And if earlier rumors about Ivich’s appointment came only from the press and insiders, now Vladimir himself is speaking out.

— “Spartak”? Now I’m in Greece, relaxing with my family. Did I take a break until summer? We will see, quotes Ivic. RB Sport

Ivic, of course, has not confirmed the red and whites’ interest in him. But above all, he did not refute it.

Arthur Jorge can still become the head coach of the red and whites

Almost all the names on the Spartak coaching list are the work of Red and White sporting director Tomas Amaral. Certainly, this list also includes the name of Arthur Jorge, the current head coach of Portuguese Braga.

Previously, rumors circulated that Jorge was almost the main candidate for the post of coach of Spartak. But the specialist himself has already said that he refused the Moscow club. It seems that the case is closed. But for some reason the coach’s agent does not want to abandon the idea of Spartak.

— Arthur didn’t say “no” to Spartak. What he was talking about happened in January, not now. Unfortunately, when Spartak contacted us two months ago, leaving Braga was impossible at that time. But in the future everything is possible,” the agent noted in a conversation with “ RB Sport

Rumors are circulating in Portugal about Jorge’s imminent resignation. So why wouldn’t the Portuguese end up in Moscow?

Should Spartak change coaches before the summer?

Rumors about an imminent change of head coach at Spartak are widespread. But if before they seemed justified, they now seem illusory.

First, Abascal did not participate in the winter training camp and the long championship break associated with national team matches and presidential elections. There couldn’t have been a better time to fire Guillermo. Now it seems it’s too late.

Secondly, Spartak is still fighting in the Russian Cup. There are matches coming up with Zenit. Changing the head coach before St. Petersburg is very strange to say the least.

Third, the fans and club management must make sure that Abaskal is not the person Spartak needs. Ten laps before the finish, the Spaniard can tell everyone that the team’s situation is fixable. Once the championship is over, there will be no more excuses. Guillermo can be fired in good conscience.
