After the elimination against Nova Iguaçu, Vasco continues preparing for their debut in the Brazilian championship. In this sense, the Cruz-Maltino team will experience a sort of new “pre-season”, given that the duel with Grêmio, in Rio de Janeiro, will only take place on the 13th. This Monday (25th), the group returns from outside, however three players train separately and are out of the programs.
Among the athletes are midfielder Rodrigo, left back Julião and midfielder Marlon Santos. They train at different times to the main team and will remain at the club for the rest of the season.
Therefore, the three traveled to CT Moacyr Barbosa and participated in activities while the club decided their fate. There is nothing defended yet, whether they will be loaned out, negotiated outright or given a new opportunity in the future.
Rodrigo and Marlon have been part of the group since the beginning, when the main team returned from pre-season in Uruguay and competed in the Campeonato Carioca. Full-back Julião, in turn, joined them following the defeat against Nova Iguaçu on 31 January. Vasco has starter Lucas Piton, who is going through an excellent phase, and Victor Luís, for the same position.
It is worth mentioning that Vasco recently reduced the group of players out of the plans. Orellano (on loan to FC Cincinnati), Zé Vitor (on loan to Volta Redonda), Barros and Miranda (on loan to Amazonas), have left the club.
