Raphael Veiga is enthusiastic about Palmeiras’ return to Allianz

Away from home for almost two months, Palmeiras takes the field in the Paulista semi-final; Raphael Veiga shows relief

Palmeiras’ return to Allianz Parque, which lasted almost two months, will finally end next week. The team hosts Novorizontino, in the Paulistão semi-final, next Wednesday (27th), putting an end to a long wait for the players. This relief affected one of Alviverde’s main players, midfielder Raphael Veiga.

The pitch was closed to replace the synthetic turf. After considerable progress in the works in recent weeks, the stadium has finally been vacated. Until then the team played at the Arena Barueri, where it remained undefeated in the State Championship. Even so, the number 23 underlines that it was not the same as playing at home, where the team feels better than elsewhere.

“When we played at the Arena Barueri, our fans came, but we know that it is not our home. Allianz Parque is different, I have always said. Because the atmosphere, the climate, the logistics are different. In short, we feel different,” said Raphael Veiga.

Palmeiras continues its training program this Saturday too, aiming for next Wednesday’s match. Subsequently, he will make his debut in the Libertadores, scheduled for the 3rd, against San Lorenzo, in Argentina.
