Russian youth team beat Uruguay counterparts in friendly match
The Russian youth football team defeated the current world champion, the Uruguay national team, in a friendly match.
The match in Montevideo ended with a score of 1:0 in favor of Ivan Shabarov’s team. Dmitry Kuchugura scored the only goal. The midfielder scored a penalty in the 81st minute of the match.
Already on March 23, the Russian under-21 team will play with their peers from the Uruguayan Nacional.
The day before, the Russian senior national team defeated Serbia in a friendly match in Moscow with a score of 4:0.
