Travel diary: excellent public transport and ‘lunch’ for breakfast

Perrengue, on my second full day in London, activates my proactive mode to get by. In the end, everything worked out. That’s better!

Perrengue on the second full day in London. That’s right, Joganauta! Thanks to some glitch, both in the private transport app and in the account where I converted reais to pounds, my payments were no longer being automatically accepted.

Just like the night we arrived at Stansted Airport, when I decided to travel by bus to the hotel (and there were three of them!), the option was public transport to cover the Brazilian team.

Despite the obstacle of leaving South Harrow – near Wembley – and moving to distant Saint Albans on the outskirts of London, everything was resolved. And four other daily articles aired.

Imagine a Carioca who is impressed when he encounters the immensity of the São Paulo metro… Well then. London is even infinitely bigger. And not to mention the spectacular trains. Even just the bus is cheap. By the way, is there anything cheap in pounds? But this was the theme of the first day. So let’s return to the central theme.

Anyone thinking of moving to the English capital and surrounding areas needs to be well informed about the countless possibilities. This is exactly what I did.

Enough with transport… Let’s talk about beans!

See that photo up there? It was my breakfast. The instructions on the breakfast voucher I received at check-in say to give it to the receptionist before going to the breakfast area. After all, she has an arrival date. Can you believe I’m coming up on day three and the morning shift person is telling me to keep the voucher with me?! Think about understanding… Or is my English rebelling against me?

Well, I finally got to the beans. This time I decided to try what I had previously rejected. I went there and put the beans on the plate. Hmm… amazing! Oops… I’m not in Spain anymore. Change notice for the language chip. The beans were wonderful!!! And the beans were soaked in a sweet tomato sauce that made the main ingredient even tastier.

And then scrambled eggs, salami, brioche and pineapple. To all this add a consistent orange juice. Orange juice is life! Ok, I know you also saw in the photo a sandwich (actually two!), Nutella, as well as a banana and two jars of an exceptional passion fruit cream.

Yes, I went too far this Tuesday. But who?!

Thursday marked the last training session of the Brazilian team at Arsenal’s CT. This Friday the group will carry out a reconnaissance on the Wembley pitch, the venue for the following day’s friendly against England.

We then know another super stage of this borderless world. Until then!.
