The President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, said that his country cannot trust the Western countries, because he believes that in the case of an extremely difficult situation, the latter will not do anything to help Turkey.
The Turkish head of state spoke on Thursday at an election rally in the northwestern city of Bursa.
He especially spoke about the unreliability of Western countries.
“Recent events in Gaza show this. Those who play blind and deaf to the Muslim blood flowing in Gaza will do the same if a similar calamity befalls us tomorrow,” he said.
Before we continue: “We experienced this too: while we were dealing with a crisis with Russia and terrorist organizations were close to our borders, Western countries withdrew air defense systems from our southern cities. Praise be to God, we were able to overcome the difficulties. With our forces, our means and our struggle of this period”.
And he added: “Whatever policy we have followed in Syria, Libya, the Mediterranean, the Black Sea and Karabakh, we have found a great global alliance against us. In order to disrupt our climate of trust and stability, they tried to provoke and mobilize. Every segment that they can influence in our country for years and every election period they have implemented the same scenario.”
Turkey is preparing for local elections, which will be held on Sunday, March 31.
