Why is Autoire nicknamed “little Versailles”?

What to do in Autoire?

The Cascade d’Autoire, located just outside the village center, is not to be missed if you venture into the surrounding area. This waterfall, more than 30 meters high, tumbles down a series of rocks. You still have to take a hiking trail of around 1.2 km to get there. The opportunity to treat yourself to a nice walk.
Autoire is also surrounded by lush nature and rolling hills of natural splendor, making it an excellent destination for outdoor activities such as hiking and picnicking. The village will please all those wishing to treat themselves to a peaceful and idyllic retirement and to (re)discover the beauty of rural France.
Note that Autoire is located near the castle of Castelnau-Bretenoux and the medieval town of Rocamadour, which are all places to discover immediately.
