CCR reported on Thursday that it has signed a contract with Megatelecom to sell its entire stake in Samm, a company that provides multimedia communications services, for 100 million reais, according to a relevant fact.
Samm is 100% controlled by the CCR Group and is present in 161 municipalities in the states of Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerias, Bahia and Paraná, according to its website.
The deal is still subject to some prior conditions, including regulatory approvals, CCR added in the filing to the Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM).
Megatelecom is a telecommunications, data center and information technology (IT) operator, operating in the central-western, southeastern and southern regions of Brazil.
According to CCR, the transaction is part of its ongoing portfolio review and selective capital allocation strategy.
