Azul airline announced on Thursday that it made a net profit of 403.3 million reais in the fourth quarter of last year, up 74.5% from the previous year’s performance.
In adjusted terms, however, the company recorded a net loss of 270.6 million reais in the last three months of 2023, 55.7% lower than the negative result presented a year earlier.
Azul said the findings are unaudited and that it will not be able to provide the audited financial statements and independent auditor’s report for 2023 by the legal deadline, “as the work of the independent auditors in relation to the review of such statements It wasn’t finished yet.”
The company also announced a projection of an Ebitda in 2024 of around 6.5 billion reais, higher than the previous projection of 6.3 billion and higher than the 5.2 billion obtained in 2023, which in turn was 61 .4% higher than 2022 performance.
