The airline Gol, in judicial recovery in the United States, announced on Thursday a net loss of 1.1 billion reais in the fourth quarter of last year, reversing a positive result of 231 million obtained in the same period of 2022.
The company reported an operating profit measured by recurring earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) of 1.62 billion reais in the period, an increase of 38.3%.
The result was partly supported by a 23% reduction in the cost of aviation fuel, a 9.2% increase in the ticket price indicator, to 52.61 real cents, and a rate more favorable exchange rate.
The company closed the last quarter with a 6.7% growth in net revenues, which reached 5.04 billion reais.
