SNEL11: the Amontada 2 plant, in Ceará, enters into operation with an annual yield exceeding 20%

Amontada 2, photovoltaic plant located in the state of Ceará, developed by SNEL11 Background with the 9Energia group it began operating on 5 February 2022, with an installed power of 1.2 MWp (megawatt-peak).

The estimate is that this plant will generate 2,003 MWh (megawatt hours) per year, according to Rafael Menezes, energy specialist at Suno Asset.

The plant’s yield is greater than 20% per year, already net of fund costs. This means that, considering all the costs related to the operation and maintenance of the system, the net profit generated by it is greater than 20% per year in relation to the investment made.

As regards the other connections, the forecasts are that the San Remo 1 and 2 UFVs will be connected in February and March respectively; and Petrolina UFVs 1, 2, 3 and 4 are connected in March.

The works at the Amontoada plant were completed in the first week of August, according to the timetable communicated in the management letters. According to Suno Asset, after the completion of the works, attention was focused on energizing the plant.

The fund aims to diversify operations across regions of Brazil

According to Rafael Menezes, SNEL11 recently closed the fundraising of R$88.8 million, which will be allocated to new projects in the states of Ceará, Goiás, Espírito Santos, Bahia and Minas Gerais, in line with the fund’s principle of seeking to diversify the regions.

Additionally, SNEL11 aims to build seven solar plants – in Minas Gerais, Pernambuco and Ceará – with a total installed capacity of 11 MW. This will happen with R$50 million raised in the second fundraising, in December last year, in order to shorten the due diligence deadlines to be able to start work, preferably between the months of March and April 2024.

In the first issue of SNEL11, the subscription price was R$100. In the second issue, shareholders will contribute R$16 per share (entry fee) to generate a guaranteed minimum income, given the new development curve of the project that this issue will finance. Initially the value of the operation is R$ 166 million.
