Lollapalooza 2024 is divided between two worlds: that of those who will have fun and that of those who will work at the festival. Kelly Santos, 25 years old, for example, has already been present at other editions of Lollapalooza, and reveals that the sales balance is not as good as in previous years. For her, rainy weather is the main culprit.
“I come to everyone [as edições do Lolla], I work selling at events like this, this year the movement is very weak, it has dropped a lot! With this rain then… In good weather, in a three-day festival, you can get around R$2,000, so I don’t know how it will go,” she said.
Caio Ferreira, 37, like Kelly, also works as a street vendor at events. But, although he shares the dissatisfaction with the low sales volume, for him the small profit is due to the competition.
“Every year that goes by, profits go down, there are more and more sellers. It’s difficult to make good money,” he commented.
However, another factor also worries him: turnip. On the first day of the event, he says, he lost goods worth about R $ 700.

The same concern concerns a drinks seller, who preferred to remain anonymous. According to him, in addition to weak sales, the rush to not lose products also made the job difficult. “You can’t joke,” he summed it up.
