“Always initiate contact with financial institutions through their official channels. If you receive an offer, verify its validity by contacting the institution directly.”
Check the legitimacy of the institution
Before accepting any loan offer, make sure that the financial institution is registered with the Central Bank of Brazil (Bacen).
“Legitimate institutions must have a valid registration number and are available on the Bacen website,” warns Bruno.
Never provide personal information
“Never share your personal or financial information unless you have initiated contact and are sure you are dealing with a legitimate institution. This includes social security numbers such as PIS or INSS, bank account information and card details credit”, concludes the specialist.
