Geno Smith out 6-10 weeks with broken jaw after teammate punched him

We've spent most of the day wondering what exactly led Jets backup linebacker I.K. Enemkpali to sock quarterback Geno Smith in the face, and now it looks like we have our answer.

Why did Geno Smith take a month to pay a teammate back $600? A guy he was seeing daily at training camp? Why not just pay the guy and get it over with? Here's the latest development in the saga, courtesy of Ryan Clark, 

The moment word got out that Geno Smith had his jaw broken in two places by a teammate, you KNEW there would be takes. You KNEW that a one-sided fight would become twisted into a referendum on Smith's leadership. And so it has come to pass.

Boomer Esiason, a blowhard radio host who used to play QB for the Jets about 20 years ago, must have checked in with the franchise, because he claims that Geno Smith owed linebacker IK Enemkpali money from a “debt”
