Belgian Cooperation and Development Minister Caroline Gennes called on Israel to be held accountable for the deaths of seven aid workers in Gaza.

This is clear from his post, which was published on the “X” platform, where he called the incident “heartbreaking”.

“It’s time for a cease-fire,” he warned, stressing the need for justice and holding Israel accountable.

“How many innocent civilians must die?” – she was worried.

In turn, Belgian Foreign Minister Haja Lahbib said: “Even during war, there are rules that all parties must respect. Such actions are unacceptable.”

Seven aid workers from the US charity World Central Kitchen (WCK) were killed in an Israeli attack in the Gaza Strip on Monday evening.

The American non-governmental organization World Central Kitchen (WCK), which supplies food to the Gaza Strip, announced the immediate suspension of operations in the Palestinian enclave.

The organization explained that “despite coordination with the Israeli army, the convoy was bombed as it was leaving a warehouse in Deir al-Balakh (central part of the Gaza Strip).”

For its part, the Israeli army said in a statement on Tuesday that it had launched “a thorough investigation into this tragic incident by the highest ranks of the army to understand the circumstances.”
