What happens to Jennie Garth, the interpreter of Kelly, the real plague of Beverly Hills?

The first time that (American) viewers discover the face of Jennie Garth, it’s the end of 1989. She is only 17 years old, she hasn’t even finished high school, but she is determined to become an actress. And she had barely started going to castings when she landed a small role in an episode of What’s New, Doctor? Better yet, she quickly obtained one of the main roles in Brand New Life, a family sitcom starring Barbara Eden and Don Murray. But if the first episode is a success, the series is canceled after only… five episodes. Ouch. But no time to worry too much about Jennie.

Jennie Garth: from Beverly Hills has… Beverly Hills

In 1990, the pretty blonde was hired to play Kelly Taylor in Beverly Hills, a series created by Darren Star and produced by the very influential Aaron Spelling. Between the actresses, the atmosphere is not always good and the disagreements are regular… There are departures, with fanfare, and arrivals, thunderous. Nothing very original in fact. The fact remains that Jennie, Tori Spelling (Donna), Brian Austin Green (David) and Ian Ziering (Steve) are the only ones to have appeared in the 292 episodes of the series. This full-time job which does not prevent Jennie from committing some infidelity with Beverly Hills. It is therefore not uncommon to see her play in a TV movie here or there until the end of the series. And even more after!

The adventure Beverly Hills ended in May 2000, after ten seasons. Jennie bounces back quickly with The $treet, a series which arrived on the small screen at the end of 2000… and left it almost immediately, due to lack of audience. She will have better luck with the sitcom What I like about you, in which she opposite Amanda Bynes. Broadcast from 2002 to 2006, it enjoyed great success. In 2008, Jennie Garth decided to return to her first love. Beverly Hills. Finally, the sequel / reboot with a “new generation”. The opportunity for her to reprise her role as Kelly Taylor in twenty episodes of the first two seasons of this series (which will have five). May she leave without regret.
And besides that ? Jennie is a regular TV movies, dramatic or romantic, which she continues. In 2014, she had the chance to find her BFF from her years Beverly HillsTori Spelling, in a series, Mystery Girls. A police comedy which, unfortunately for them, will have difficulty finding its audience. It will not go beyond the 10 episodes of its first season. Same disappointment in 2019 when Jennier found his old friends from Beverly Hills In Beverly Hills: BH90210, in which they play their own roles (or almost). Nostalgia having its limits, the series will only be entitled to one season of 6 episodes.
